pastor bill anthes

Our Pastor: A native of Roselle, New Jersey, Rev. Bill Anthes has Pastored the Congregation here at Grace since 1991. After graduating from Rutgers University in 1973, he worked for 5 years in retailing and then 5 in sales.
He came to Christ in 1978. From that point on, the reading, studying and memorizing of Scripture became very important to him. He moved to the Syracuse area in 1980 as the result of a job promotion. Shortly afterward, he and his wife Enid were married in 1974 and became members of Redeemer Covenant Church in Liverpool, NY.

In 1982, he was called to serve on the Redeemer Covenant staff as Minister of Evangelism and Discipleship. In 1985 Pastor Bill went to Chicago to attend North Park Theological Seminary, graduating in 1989. In 1991, he was called to help plant and launch Grace. Pastor Bill and his wife Enid have been married for 26 years and have a daughter Hannah. Pastor Bill's hobbies and interests include working out, golf, dogs, and leading schools of Prayer and of Evangelism throughout the Covenant church.

He comments, "To me, the most exciting things Churches do is to share the good news of Jesus Christ, help disciple those who believe in Him and grow in their understanding and practice of prayer. The ministry of a local church must be grounded in and faithful to the Scripture and energized by the Holy Spirit".
