Pastor Bruce Baehr
Our Associate Pastor of Family and Students, Mr. Bruce Baehr came on staff in November of 1996. Pastor Bruce was born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey. He holds a Bachelors degree from Barrington College where he majored in Psychology and minored in Bible. He has a Masters degree in counseling from Wright State University; and an M.B.A. from Chapman College.
Bruce served four years active duty in the U.S. Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio where he provided Drug, alcohol, and family counseling. Bruce served as Administrator of Americans for International Aid and Adoption prior to coming on staff at Grace Covenant Church.
The Baehrs enjoy the outdoors, and greatly appreciate time spent at the family's camp in the Adirondacks.
When asked why he chose to work with kids, Bruce replied, "Good question. Our kids need to know Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord. They need to know they are cared for and loved by the adults around them. They need to have people around them who are genuinely interested in them, and they want those people to care for them. Kids are receptive to hearing the word of God and responding to it when they come in contact with adults who are living out their faith in Christ. In short, I love kids of all ages and ministering to them is what God has called me to do."
