Thrive Weekly Newsletter: The Gospel Project & Bible Study Kickoff

This Sunday | 5:30PM–8:00PM 👈
This week we’re kicking off our new study in The Gospel Project: Foolishness and Wisdom! Over the next few weeks, we’ll be looking closely at the lives of three of Israel’s kings—Saul, David, and Solomon—and seeing how their successes and failures point us to our ultimate King, Jesus.
What is The Gospel Project?
The Gospel Project is a Christ-centered Bible study that helps students see how every story in Scripture connects to the good news of the gospel. Each lesson has two key emphases:
Christ Connection – How does this passage point us to Jesus?
Theological Connection – What do we learn about God’s character, His plan, and our place in His story?
Small Group Approach
We’ll be diving into these lessons in mixed-gender small groups, giving students a chance to learn from each other, share their perspectives, and grow together in faith. During the teaching time, we’ll also split into Middle School and High School groups, so each age group can engage the material at a level that’s most meaningful to them.
We’re excited for how God is going to use this study to deepen our understanding of His Word and help us follow Jesus more faithfully together. Encourage your student to come ready to learn, ask questions, and share their insights!
Bible Study Kickoff | Wednesday Night Starting 09/17 (Boys 5:30PM, Girls 6:30PM) 👈
We’re excited to also begin our Wednesday Night Bible Studies this week! While Sunday nights are focused on mixed groups learning together, we also know how important it is for young men and young women to connect more deeply with one another. Wednesday nights will provide that space—where students can gather with mentors, discuss the unique issues they face, and see how God’s Word speaks into their lives as growing disciples.
Young Men’s Group – Meets Wednesdays at 5:30 PM, led by Pastor Dave
Young Women’s Group – Meets Wednesdays at 6:30 PM, led by Jamie Beetham and Chelsea Ingrassia
These gatherings will be a meaningful time of mentorship, encouragement, and spiritual growth. Encourage your student to come ready to share, listen, and grow in Christ together with their peers and leaders.
Dinner Hosts Needed 🍽️
Our dinner time has become one of the most important parts of Thrive. Sharing a meal helps students build friendships and gives parents a great opportunity to connect with students while modeling what it looks like to serve.
We still have several September openings for dinner hosts! If you can provide a meal, sign up using the link below and help us continue this life-giving tradition.
