Thrive Weekly Newsletter: Sunday Night Kickoff
This Sunday | 5:30PM–8:00PM 👈 NOTE THE NEW START TIME!!!
We’re launching the new Thrive year with an unforgettable night—Color War, Campfire, and Worship!
We’ll kick things off with games and activities, followed by dinner together. All activities will happen outside (we’ll only use the building bathrooms through the back door).
After dinner, get ready for Color War! We’ll play a giant game of Color Tag and Color Capture the Flag using a mix of Holi color powder and throwable paint balls.
👉 Important Notes for Color War
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained with color or paint.
- Wear something underneath your outer layer (like a swimsuit, swim trunks, or an extra t-shirt) since no one will be allowed in the building with paint or powder on them.
- Students may be rinsed off with a hose if needed—please bring your own towel (expect it to get stained).
- Not into the Color War? No problem—we’ll have an alternative game option available.
After Color War and clean-up, we’ll gather around a campfire with s’mores and spend time in worship led by Owen and Owen, followed by a message from Ben Wysocki to launch our year together.
Welcome 6th Grade Students
We are very excited to welcome our 6th grade students to our Thrive Middle School Youth Group. Our Middle School Youth Group will be 6th-8th Grade students led by Liz Jovinelly, Jonathan Baez, Faith Merrill, Shari Manchester, and Ben Masten.
Dinner Hosts Needed 🍽️
Our dinner time has become one of the most important parts of Thrive. Sharing a meal helps students build friendships and gives parents a great opportunity to connect with students while modeling what it looks like to serve.
We still have several September openings for dinner hosts! If you can provide a meal, sign up using the link below and help us continue this life-giving tradition.
